Q: What are your
influences?
A: I don't mean to be difficult, but I have to say that I've been influenced by many different artists and bands. Janis
Joplin, Alisha's Attic, Joni Mitchell, The Kinks, Lightning Seeds, SRV,
Cat Stevens, The Beatles. I wouldn't say I'm particularly similar to any of them though!
Q:
What's your biggest gig? A: It is of course Glastonbury Festival. I played 9 different stages in one weekend! The weirdest part for me was
hearing my name being said amongst the crowds whilst I was out strolling/trawling amidst the Festival.
Q:
Desert Island disc? A: Now there’s a question! Ummmm….. could I not just take my ipod?! I don’t
think I could pick just one song. I want The Cranberries’ ‘Zombie’ played at
my funeral though, if that helps?!
Q:
Who's Mavis? A:Mavis
is my 1972 Gibson SG guitar. She's the one in the photo on the home
page. She's my baby!
Q: What do you
consider to be the world's best invention?
A:Gaffer tape aka rock 'n roll cellotape! It's got me out of some pretty sticky situations.... mind you, it's got me into a few aswell! I find myself having to gaffer
things like microphones to bits of furniture when there aren't enough mic stands for example.
Oh,and I gaffer the tone selector switch down on my Les Paul too!
Q: What do you
call the tv remote control? A: The ‘bizazzer'. Don't look at me like that!! If you ask odd questions, you'll odd answers lol!
Q:Do you have any weird pre-gig rituals? A:I have to wear extremely loud socks. Usually stripey.
Q: Do
you have any musical ambitions?
A:Loads!
One of my life ambitions though is to play on the Jools Holland show.
I'd die a happy gal if I made it to "Hooternany!"
Q:
Have you met anybody that's made you go wow?
A:
Annie Lennox. Reeeeespek.
Q:
Who are you listening to in the car at the moment?
A: The Cold War Kids. They sound exactly the same live, which is a rarity.
Q: What is your favourite thing to do, other than music?
