YOU ASK OCTOBER.....!

Q: What are your influences?
A:
A massive cliche, but I have to say that I've been influenced by many different artists and bands. Janis Joplin, Alisha's Attic, Joni Mitchell, The Kinks, Lightning Seeds, SRV, Cat Stevens, The Beatles, Elton John. Oddly I wouldn't say I sound particularly similar to any of them though!

Q: What was your biggest or most amazing gig?
A: Wow. Well there's been a few. Of course Glastonbury Festival. I've played 4 Glastos now. I played 9 different stages one year! The weirdest part for me was hearing my name being mentioned by festival goers whilst I was out amidst the crowds. An amazing experience, especially considering I manage etc myself:) I'll never forget all the BBC sessions, Symphony Hall, Leiserberg Arena and Stonehenge gigs too.

Q: Desert Island disc?
A: N
ow there’s a question! Ummmm….. could I not just take my ipod?!
I don’t think I could pick just one song. I want The Cranberries’ ‘Zombie’ played at my funeral though, I could never be buried alive then for the singing from my coffin, if that helps?!

Q:Who's the most famous person you've ever met?
A:
I've been lucky enough to meet a few wonderful musicians and performers. I guess the artists I was the most excited about were Elton John,
Roger Daltry and Annie Lennox.

Q:Who's Mavis?
A:
Mavis is my 1972 Gibson SG electric guitar. She's my baby! I slept with her in my bed for the first month I had her. Sad!

Q: What do you consider to be the world's best invention?
A:
Gaffer tape aka rock 'n roll cellotape! It's got me out of some pretty sticky situations.... mind you, it's got me into a few aswell! I find myself having to gaffer things like microphones to bits of furniture when there aren't enough mic stands to record. Oh,and I gaffer the tone selector switch down on my Les Paul too!

Q: What do you call the tv remote control?
A: The ‘bizazzer'. Don't look at me like that!! If you ask odd questions, you'll get odd answers lol!

Q: Do you have any weird pre-gig rituals?
A: If I'm wearing socks, they have to wear extremely loud. Usually stripey. I also like to meditate.

Q: Do you have any musical ambitions?
A:
Loads! One of my life ambitions though is to play on the Jools Holland show. I'd die a very happy gal if I made it to "Hooternany!"

Q: Have you met anybody that's made you go wow?

A:I've met some super amazing people including Annie Lennox and Elton John. Reeeeespek. The most amazing person I have ever met though has to be Arabella Churchill. R.I.P. The world isn't the same without you...

Q: Who are you listening to in the car at the moment?

A: I'm back on The Beatles and Queen, me! Timeless!!

Q: What is your favourite thing besides music?

A: Surf. Happy days:-)
